Curated by Dominique Abensour, this exhibition from the cycle Histoires de dessins, this time will feature all the artworks by Gudny Rosa Ingimarsdottir owned by the FRAC (Fonds régional d’art contemporain) of French Picardie region.
With this cycle of exhibitions, the FRAC presents a retrospective of the most important works in its collection since its creation in 1983. This event represents both an invitation to enjoy the artworks the FRAC has been collecting for 35 years and an occasion to take a look to the future evolution of the institution. As the title says, drawing is the protagonist of this exhibition: this series of events is meant to make the public reflect on the changes concerning drawing, in a moment where the boundaries between the different disciplines are more and more blurry. Each exhibition has been articulated around a theme and a specific period of contemporary art history since the early 1970s. Histoires de dessins invites the public of the Amiens metropolis to rediscover the FRAC – Picardie Hauts-de-France, a permanent cultural institution dedicated to contemporary art.
