Apparition du dessin

In September 2018, Galerie Robespierre launched a new collaboration with the FRAC Picardie | des mondes dessinés, located in Amiens (FR). Over several years, an exhibition cycle will offer a discovery of contemporary drawing, “on and off paper, with and without pencil”.

In this singular approach, which was first laid down in 1985, the FRAC Picardie has asserted its specificity. Its richness is now recognized through the diversity of its research and its scope, which is open to artists from all five continents.

The exhibition Apparition du dessin traces a first labyrinthine path marked by multiple gestures and experiments. Between an evocation of parietal art and the beginnings of computer drawing, the graphic variations of the line and line test the conception and use of drawing, the gesture and the gaze, disturb the borders of abstraction and figurative art.
