Nina Tomàs was invited to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Prix Médiatine with a site-specific installation in the entrance hall of the Musée Ianchelevici in La Louvière, which will be presented simultaneously with the Prix du Hainaut.

Every year, the Province of Hainaut awards its Prix du Hainaut des Arts plastiques to an artist with a link to the region. This prestigious recognition marks an important moment synonymous with creation and interaction. From drawing to video, installation or performance, visual artists break down the boundaries of their practice and, through their work, become a reflection of our concerns.

For the Visual Arts Sector, the project stems from a desire to showcase emerging artistic practices and to share this research as much with a public of art world professionals as with anyone curious about culture. Following each project, collaborations are formed between these artists and cultural institutions, giving them the opportunity to receive support, create new works and exchange ideas.

For this year’s edition at MILL, the exhibition features the work of artist Nina Tomàs, 2023 candidate for the Prix Médiatine.
