As part of the Brugge Triënnale, the group exhibition Rebel Garden thematically explores the garden as a site of refuge and resistance and occupies no less than three sites : Groeninge Museum, Gruuthuse Museum and Museum Sint-Janshospitaal. Gardens are the local barometers of the state of our planet. They are part of our ideal way of life and at the same time places of resistance, where the effects of ecological change are accelerating. As Tatiana Wolska transforms once-polluting materials into organic structures, her practice embodies the core of man and nature’s tumultous relationship, in accordance with the exhibition’s emphasis on ecological change and its increasingly visible effects.
Curated by Michel Dewilde.
