With the cycle “Mutations/Créations”, the Centre Pompidou is transforming itself into a laboratory for creation and innovation at the frontier of the arts, science and engineering. Each year, the program brings together artists, engineers, scientists and contractors. In 2020, the project continues with two exhibitions: “Neurones, les intelligences simulées” and “Jeremy Shaw”.

While artificial intelligence seems to have invaded all industrial fields of the contemporary world, from finance to medicine, from games to behavioural objects, from architecture to military, this situation has never really been linked to the history of neuroscience and neuro-computation. The exhibition “Neurones/ Les intelligences simulées” underlines the continuity of research by artists, architects, designers and musicians with researchs by major scientific laboratories or those in the industrial world.
