On the occasion of Art Brussels’ Monumental Sculpture Project, Tatiana Wolska will present an installation on the docks, surrounding the fair’s main building.
This artwork is a reiteration of Tatiana Wolska’s monumental plastic intallations, previously shown in the context of her solo show at Palais de Tokyo in 2014 and in the Van Buuren gardens last summer. The work is created from dozens of defective plastic bottles, cut and thermo-welded into a sprawling organic shape. The resut is a translucent red volume, playing with its surrounding and with each ray of natural or artificial light passing through it.
This imposing but lightweight structure was suspended under the docks’ roof, seemingly floating above the visitors heads.
