Bearing witness to the passage of time, Marija Rinkeviciute’s works convey a silent, almost dormant presence. In their fragile materiality, they evoke memories of the past carried in every crack and fold that inhabits their surface. This glimmering nostalgia echoes further through the inclusion of found objects: wooden boxes and salvaged elements become the withholders of precious canvases, their surfaces holding the marks of the artist’s process. Through their delicate unfolding, works presented here reflect on transformation as a gradual, organic act – where form is continuously shaped by gesture, memory and time.
